It is well said that knowledge and skills increased by sharing with others. As per my knowledge, I am sharing an experience to search emails and delete or clear the memory of Gmail Account. It's must to share such tricks with others who are not capable to do and facing difficulties. 

Google Mail Inboxes:

The Google provides limited storage capacity (i.e. 15GB at present) to each user and after the capacity is used, it starts asking either to buy storage or delete the stored data. In order to delete the old emails or attached files; everybody requires to be cautious whether the same may be required in future or not. Let us understand a few tactics which can help in cleaning the old raw data stored in google account.

Searching emails with Larger Size:

Whenever it is required to search the emails with attachments either in send emails or in gmail inbox or in any other folder; then the user may search the emails; however, the Google has no feature to sort the emails according to alphabetic order or as per their size. In search, type “Larger:10M” to find out the email with size 10MB or more. In case, the emails are not useful then the emails can be deleted. After deleting the email, it is required to go to Trash or Bin folder and then again delete the emails from there to clean the space. Thereafter, the emails with “Larger:5M” may be searched and then clean accordingly.

Searching emails with date of creation:

Sometimes, it is required to search the folders in emails with date of creation. Search by typing “Before:YYYY/MM/DD” to search emails created before a specified date. For example, “Before:2015/11/11” will search emails created before 11^th November, 2015.

In case, it is required to search emails created before a specified date and with a particular size; then the options can be clubbed. For example, “Before:2018/11/11, Larger:1K” will search the emails created before 11^th Nov 2018 and with size larger than 1 KB.

Creating Filter to search emails:

The search option in gmail also has a downward point arrow at the right side corner of the search bar; to select the custom search. The same can also be utilized to search the emails qualifying specific desired criteria.
