Generation Gap and Instilling Morality
The life is full of challenges however most of the people try to avoid taking the challenge and keep their safe zone activated most of the times. It's hard work and dedication towards work which is required in all functions to meet desirable goals.
When somebody say 'No' and we take it as a challenge to do that work ourselves, then God Almighty also supports us from inside.
With increasing generation gap, the biggest challenge in front of parents is to inculcate morality in their children and get their support in the old age.
The generation gap has become a cause of concern and being identified as
a reason behind the break-up of families. Children at the age of ten years,
start thinking very differently than their elders and feel loneliness. The traditional
values which are the dream of parents, to inculcate in children becomes
difficult to be imparted even after admitting children in a good school. Being
a student, a child feels too much pressure of school work that his social
growth is affected badly. It is must to schedule week-ends to stay together
with the children. In metro cities, people prefer to go outside on a family
trip at the week-ends, probably this is a best method to strengthen the
relationships with children. Spending time with the children, listening and
interacting with them with full attention, being agree with their views and
then telling them to adopt an advice can easily work well. On the other hand,
without spending much time with children, without listening and interacting
with them, the parents and elders always suffer from disobeying of their instructions by the children.
How to impart morality in children?
Earlier, in joint families it was quite easy to impart morality in
children. After crossing age of ten years, the children start taking their own
dreams to be accomplished. The traditional works like agriculture or shops
usually made the children to be involved in activities with the parents. Due to
official jobs of parents, the children now cannot be involved in supporting the
parents. With the change in time, the children are more technically smarter
than the parents. The coming era of technology will make the parents’ knowledge
obsolete because the change is coming at higher rate and the parents cannot
make themselves grow with the speed of change to stand with the children in
gaining the technical knowledge. In such circumstances, the children start thinking
themselves superior enough and start disobeying their parents.
Always inculcate values in children:
The children should start thinking positive and never be jealous from others. In case, they utilize their thoughts in doing good things in their behavior; their life becomes smooth. In is well said,"एक हल्का सा हवा का झोंका जलते “दीपक” को बुझा सकता है पर “अगरबत्ती” को नहीं। क्योंकि जो “महकता” है उसका पुरा जीवन आनंदित रहता है..., और जो “जलता” है वह खुद बुझ जाता है।"
