Minimum Income Scheme of Prime Minister

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is a new scheme which promises an assured income of Rs. 6,000 for the small and marginal farmers with 2 Hectares of farming land. The amount is transferred directly into the accounts of farmers in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 each.

Key Features of Scheme:

·        The financial assistance to be provided by the Central Government
·        The farmers will receive Rs. 500 per month to finance their needs relating to crop production
·        Only application to Indian Citizens and those who are working in the fields with land holding less than 2 Acre
·        It is must to have a bank account so that the amount can be transferred directly into the bank account
