Delhi is the capital of India and known for its tourism destinations. The Delhi is a heritage destination because it is full of Monuments, cultural destinations, museum destinations, and a multi-cuisine destination. It is also known as a City of Gardens, shopping destinations, medical destinations, and destination for Higher Education. Due to such destinations, it has full potential for business and targeted by foreigners, Multi-national Companies (MNCs) with introducing new products and services for the Delhi people.

Tourism in Delhi:

Keeping in view, the above stated destinations and opportunities for people to expand businesses; the Delhi is a popular tourism destination with a lot of private hotels, tour operators under the supervision of Indian Tourism Development Corporation Limited. The Delhi Tourism & Transportation Development Corporation Limited (DDTDC) provides various facilities for promoting the tourism in Delhi. The information dissemination counters have been located at International Airport, Domestic Airport, New Delhi & Old Delhi Railway Station, Nizammudin Railway, Connaught Place, Kolkata, and Chennai. The Air Ticketing & Foreign Exchange facilities and Taxi/ Bus Services are also provided by DTTDC. The guided tours are available 24x7 times with Delhi Darshan, Delhi by Night, and Adventure Tours.

Festivals and Gardens in Delhi:

The Qutub Festival, Jehan-e-Khusrau, Garden Tourism Festival, Mango Festival, Festivals at Dilli Haat are famous for tourism point of view. Apart from it, there is garden of five senses spread over 20 acres of land and it is located in South Delhi behind Saket. The Lily Pool, Tactile Garden, Solar Energy Park, Tree Museum, and a Garden of Fragrance; are the famous tourism destination with arrival of tourists from foreign countries.

Azad Hind Gram:

This is a tourist complex located at Tikri Kalan and it is a memorial to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It has ‘Chalo Dilli Museum, a conference hall, restraurant, and Children’s play area. The people of Delhi and other cities visit this play and there is great rush at weekends. The Delhi’s Heritage sites are famous around the world and revenues in Crores of rupees collected from the tourist destinations.

Infrastructure Development:

The Government of Delhi and Union Government is continuously developing the infrastructure of Delhi with construction of Flyovers, Underpasses, Metro Stations, and Smart City sites in Delhi. The Madhuban Chowk Underpass is so beautifully designed, that it attracts the tourists. Apart from it, there are Prembaripur Underpass, Moolchand Underpass, and various subways like Lajpat Nagar, Rajagarden etc. constructed to facilitate the public transportation system.

Further Tourism Promotion with Projects:

The Government is promoting tourism with various projects in pipeline for Delhi such as Mini India Project, Delhi Eye, Coronation Park, Mehrauli Archeological Park, Wazirabad Tourism Area, Coffee table book on Delhi, Dilli Haat type project at Janak Puri, Saundaraya Electronic Museum, Convention Centre, Yamuna river front development etc.
